My mother recently got into crochet and she adored this set as a Christmas gift. She said it would give her the chance to try out a variety of tools she didn't yet own, and a variety of techniques she lacked the materials to attempt. She particularly appreciated the padded hooks because her hands cramp. The yarn colors are deep and lovely. The bag and box are of questionable quality, but they offer great convenience if they hold up over time. All in all, this was a huge hit for a newbie…

I knew what I was getting when I ordered it. Granted that bigger skeins would have been nicer because they are incredibly tiny but it certainly works for beginners or children, which is what I’ll keep some of it for.FYI I have very small hands so the pictures are showing just how small things are. I also put one of my hooks next to the ones in this kit for scale.

It was a nice assortment of tools, and beautiful colors. That's my review. But I was not impressed by the size of the skeins.

It is mentioned as "6 e-books with various cool projects are free for you.” but it’s not included while receiving the package.

Accidentally ordered two sets which I decided was fine but one kit has two different packs of yarn and one kit has two packs of the same yarn so quality and consistency is an issue. The rest is what I more or less expected seems like it will be fine for what I needed.

This was exactly what was expected. The only thing I would recommend is offering some sample patterns to get beginners started.

the yarn isn’t the quality I thought it would be the yarn was tied together in the middle of the bundle and would make your work look sloppy 3 out of 4 was like this and I believe most of the may be like this

Probably the quickest way to discourage a beginner knitter. You'll be lucky if these don't fray by the first row. They make work for crochet or amigurumi or whatever, but for knitting these will fall apart. For the record, these are 2 x 2ply, not 4 ply.Spend the extra few bucks for Lion Brand and select colors you want.

Colors are very pretty, accessories are nice, but the yarn is thin. You may have to double up to make a blanket or scarf or a sweater. Good for making little flowers and other small things. Overall it was okay, if you don't mind the size of the skeins and the thickness of the yarn.

Great starter set! Emailed the seller and got e-books sent to email. I really like all of the accessories that comes with it.

Once a beginner actually begins making something to wear or gift - acrylic is not usually the choice because it pills, gets hairy, just does not stand up well. When creating something, the person making it usually wants a product that will be attractive and last. Acrylic does not fill that description.

I like the carry case plus all the yarn. The tools/ accessories are in a hard case that will keep them organized, which also prevents snagging the project you're working on!

I bought this kit for my granddaughter, and she loved it. She stayed up until 8 o'clock the next morning experimenting with it. I had to tell her to put it away, and go to sleep! 💤😴

There are a lot of pieces with no explanation in the little manual has very little explanation on how to make or or complete any projects. This is no set for a beginner. The manual only shows how to do a couple stitches. Will have to return as we don't know how to use it with the lack of directions.

This kit has everything needed to start basic crocheting. The yarn skeins are small, yes but for someone who is just starting out (as was the person I gifted this to) there are tons of colors for them to use in beginner level practice. It is an easy to use and inexpensive way to try out the craft without breaking the bank.

Very cheaply made not for adults. E books not included. I even had a replacement still no Ebooks. I submitted a complaint with customer service. This is the first time I've been disappointed in the products.

This is a wonderful kit. I was amazed by all of the misc. supplies it came with. My daughter loved mine so much that I ordered one for her as well. Very happy with the purchase.
