Works well for us on my review.

We needed some extra lighting for our stairs on the deck. Our porchlights and outdoor floodlights were not covering them. These ropelights did the trick. Our doggie now has a lighted path for his short nighttime bathroom breaks. The lights come with plastic mounting clips which seem fine for indoor installation, but we opted for a more heavy duty system from a different manufacturer and were pleased with those also. Bought a remote switch and we are all set.

When I received the lights, I plugged them in and they worked. Then before wrapping them around the tree, I plugging them in and they worked.After wrapping them around a wide tree they didn’t work, didn’t even get to use them one time.
