I sleep warm, so I don't like sleeping under a lot of blankets. At times I've even slept on just a bed with a thin sheet, but the recent cold snaps have meant this facility is a bit lacking in warmth. I had an old blanket that was tattered, so I threw it away and got this one. This one is MUCH more comfortable and just the right size for a tall single guy. You have to wash it first (weird chemical smell from the packaging), but after "cleaning" it becomes soft and puts out just the right amount of heat. I use the flat side down and this is spot on. If you use the sherpa/puff side down it may get too warm for you - you need to check this. Keep in mind that it's poly, so it doesn't breathe as well as cotton. But it suits me. I'm glad I got it.
