Video quality is normal in the normal state. You can barely see the license plate unless you move too fast. But when the lighting is too bright or too dim, such as when the sun is setting behind a car or at night, the picture quality degrades quickly. Because the night picture quality is very poor, I had to turn off the screen to use it as a normal mirror, but the screen cannot be turned off completely, there is a power button, even if you turn it off, it still time- /GPS information (why? who doesn't have a clock in their car?), they just "dim" the screen, don't turn it off. As a result, the mirror does not reflect as much as my original, it is much darker. So at night it's practically useless. I almost feel like I need to buy another regular mirror to cover the screen and use it like a DVR. I do not recommend this.
