In my opinion, mine is defective. The crown of the tree hugs the cutting edge and does not break through. Sometimes my husband makes it, but most of the time it doesn't stick. See the first picture. The design puts more pressure on the bottom, but then the top gets stuck. After reading reviews of kids being able to use this, I'm pretty sure mine is defective.
