Bunny Approved!: Cats

My daughter's Holland Lop/Lion Head rabbit seems quite fascinating. He's stray trained and running the house, we don't cage him, and we've found he likes to sit high on things, unless he's resting behind a piece of furniture to take a nap. So I thought he would like a cat apartment that he can hide in and climb on too. Most bunnies hate heights, pets and dogs, but "Gucci" loves heights, loves attention and doesn't mind our three dogs who have adopted him into the family as part of the pack. I chose this apartment because it's not too high so he wouldn't hurt himself if he falls and it was easy for him to find his way around. My daughter and I put it together in 20 minutes. TIP: With many pole pieces, you may have trouble figuring out which size to use where. An easy way to know which ones to use is to measure them. The chart shows dimensions in millimeters, so just do a quick google search to convert millimeters to inches, then measure the posts and you'll know which one to use at which stage. We also noticed that the single screw that attaches the bottom plate to the rest of the build was a bit short and didn't want to catch, so we just replaced it with one of the longer screws. It worked in place of a longer screw, no problem here. We just put it together today and as an inquisitive and curious bunny, Gucci explores it everywhere. He hasn't made it to the top platform or hammock yet, but it's only a matter of time. He jumps onto the back of my couch and stands on his hind legs to look for a higher seat. He loves to climb. So soon he will be at the top. And no, he's not trying to run from the dogs. He is NOT afraid of dogs, he has never been afraid of them since he met them and they are very gentle with him. He jumps under them as if he were one of them. He just loves climbing. Strange rabbit. So yes, I would highly recommend this kitty, uh, bunny apartment. It's strong, durable, worth the price and rabbit approved.
