This is a great product with a lot of potential. It took a lot of trial and error to find the right combination to set up, but once I did it worked really well! Unfortunately, my 98-year-old mother has both memory and vision problems. I figured the different button shapes would help her find the right one (and I figured I could call her and tell her to try the star channel, for example). Unfortunately, she can't distinguish shapes well enough with her fingers. And the odd layout is counterintuitive to those used to the traditional layout of numbers. (Despite the fact that she grew up with rotary phones). I'm not sure what design would be best for older visually impaired people, but I'm hoping the manufacturer will work on it. For those who can see, I suggest adding stickers as well to identify which channels each button represents (I wrote on them with a marker). This can revitalize memory and help educators choose the right option. Also, this is an amazing idea and I'm sure it will be perfect for many adults and children!
