Let's face it, your cat won't like it. However, they will be MUCH more comfortable than in plastic cones from the vet. A few things we really liked - they bind - and can't be taken off (unlike some of the really "cute" things cats have come out of). Helps him hold his shape BUT also allows him to bend over for the kitty. We bent it back so she can eat and drink better. It's also easy to put on and take off. We took it off regularly to give her some time when we were right there and it was easy to get it back (admittedly it depends on your cat ;)) She took this cone to the vet and the vet loved it and wanted to recommend it to other patients.
