Quick and easy to use for dog

I thought my Great Dane was pregnant. Turned out to be a false pregnancy. I took her temp rectally every day the last week. She didn't like it but the reading was so quick I managed by hand feeding her a special treat while I took her temp and by the time the treat was gone I had my reading. Would suggest to friends,

Accurate but takes a long time to show a reading

I tried an ear thermometer for my cat that was not consistent at all but gave readings almost instantly. This thermometer is consistent but takes 30-45 seconds to get a reading which is a long time to hold it in place. Be aware that it takes significantly longer than the description states. Overall it works and is a reliable pet thermometer.

It is not as long as the picture looks

I needed a thermometer for my dog. The picture is decieving - it looks like the thermometer is longer than the box - but it is quite short. I was hoping to get a longer one.

Good thermometer, but came discharged

Had to buy a replacement battery since it came discharged ("Lo") when arrived. Hope it had some kind of plastic protection to avoid it.

Easy to use good for me

I have two dogs at home. They are senior dogs, around 7 years old. So they had a lot of doctor visits lately. This thermometer helps us to keep track of our dogs' temperature. It is easy to use and easy to read. I would recommend to every pet owner.

Takes forever. best in my review

It does the job. However, it takes forever to finalize the temperature reading. Takes so long that I don’t even wait for it to beep to tell me it’s done. My cats can’t hold still long enough. The tip is also pretty big compared to others I’ve seen.

The only thing I found I didn't like about this unit is the beeping sound it makes when it's ready to pull out! I CAN"T hear it at all, wished it had an led that blinked when it's ready, but other than that it works great.

A little slow in my review

Works great but is a little slow to give the temp. It was difficult to keep our pregnant female still and calm while we were waiting for the temp to equal out. It did clue us in to when she was about to go into labor though so we were glad to have it.

Quick and fast - for a dog who doesn't like to be poked and prodded

I mean seriously - who likes a thermometer up your rear - definitely not my dog! This thermometer is quick and relatively easy to use. Once it beeps, we are done and she can go free. More importantly is the peace of mind that I can check her health better now.

whelping warning and update, the good and the bad of this unit.

The good: nice unit works as described.The bad: hard to read, beep when ready is so faint you can't hear it.Should work OK for dog whelping.Warning! my unit has been off .6 degrees during a critical time of my dogs last week of pregancy. Stopped beeping after a few uses

Worked great the first few days. I was using it to determine my dame's temperature before giving birth. But the speaker quickly gave out and doesn't beep anymore. Not that big a deal though because overall device still works

Helps me and my dog

Purchased due to fact that my pet has been having problems (13 years old) and with this thermometer I am able to check to see if I need to call the vet and having a temp ready for the vet definitely will help.

Doesn’t work as expected.

The first time I tried it, reading went way past 25 seconds and only hit 99.4 which worried me. Second time, it reached 100 after being in over 50 seconds and well into a minute. Still never beeped. I have no idea if this is accurate but it didn’t work as expected.

Good product good for me

I bought this thermometer to use for animals. It is a good product. The only drawback was I had to buy a battery before I could use it. I felt safer using it because of the flexible tip.

a thermometer is a thermometer and this is the cheapest digital body thermometer i could find. its convenient in that it gives a little beep sequence after the temperature reading has stabilized so you know you are getting an accurate measurement. thankfully i dont have a fever yet

Disappointed: my feedback

I can’t tell you whether this thermometer performs well because it’s shipped with a dead battery. Most products that come with a battery installed (which I appreciate) come with a small piece of cellophane separating the battery from the product that you pull out when you receive the product. This did not, and as a result, it’s not going to be useful until I either go to a store and buy a battery or send the thermometer back and buy another one that’s packaged better. In addition, the…

This thing takes forever to read the temperature of your pet, you have to try to force your pet to stay still for at least 30 seconds while this thing SLOWLY loads, which is absolute torture for these poor pets. I purchased the thermometer to keep track of my pregnant dog's temperature so I know when she's about to go into labor. Perfect for your dog.
