whelping warning and update, the good and the bad of this unit.
The good: nice unit works as described.The bad: hard to read, beep when ready is so faint you can't hear it.Should work OK for dog whelping.Warning! my unit has been off .6 degrees during a critical time of my dogs last week of pregancy. It was showing lower temps than actual resulting in a vet on call and waiting 48 hours with no signs of labor. This has caused much stress on family as well as our beloved female. She's at 62 days and having a C-section tomorrow so this unit was no help what so ever! It will be returned. Has no use, garbage for any warm blooded animal or human. It registered my temp 95.5 so it's all over the spectrum.
