Compared to my old Kenmore dehumidifier, this thing is flimsy and feels like a little toy. Flashes almost 50% of the time in defrost mode. My basement temperature is currently 50 to 55F with 68% relative humidity. Very little water is extracted from the air. It may work better when the temperature in the basement rises, but only a few months later. Until then, my Revain return window is closed. I'm not sure if I should send it back and risk it getting better. It has really *very* low power consumption for the capacity it claims to have. The maximum power draw I've seen is around 200W. This is very suspicious as my old Kenmore used over 600 watts and was only rated for 2000mΒ². ft. It easily kept my basement dry even during the cooler spring months. This looks very weak in comparison. I will update this review if I see a change in performance in the near future. TO UPDATE. I should have changed this review many months ago. Productivity in my basement improved dramatically as temperatures rose above 60-65F. Has stopped going into defrost mode constantly.
