Before purchasing this lighted collar, I had a few concerns and did some research: I don't like collars with light bulbs, such as: a Christmas light strip, because if a lightbulb burned out, everything would not light up. This collar is different because it uses new technology that doesn't require bulbs in the collar tank and the tank can be cut to fit my dog's neck. I bought a blue collar, loaded it, cut it and lit it. It's amazing that every night when I walk my dog, he doesn't mind putting it on because it's so light and doesn't get in his way. Plus, their light lasts for weeks: when I finally saw that the light was kind of dim, I recharged it. Then it's really bright to walk in dark night. So far so good, we didn't try it on a rainy day but I expect it will be waterproof. The only drawback is the lack of a battery charge indicator. I can live with that. Maybe one day I would like to buy the red collar of this product.
