I have seen this product in stores before but could not find it in the major local stores. I found a similar product online and then looked at Revain which had several options and good prices. I have an apartment that I rent out and I needed to update a few things before a new tenant moved in. I bought a new washer/dryer that sits in a purpose built alcove. I was worried about damaging the carpeting in front of and on the way to the alcove. We had to dismantle the old units and install new ones, as well as new roller shutter doors that hide the equipment when not in use. The plastic carpet protector worked great! After installation, we left the plastic in place while the renter moved in (January in New England - snow, muddy shoes, etc.). We left it 4 weeks during the installation of the unit and the tenant moving in. It never broke off with all the activity. and left the carpet intact.
