I recently purchased this bag for a 2 week business trip immediately followed by a short vacation. I needed something that would fit my laptop and essentials but also be handy for sightseeing and this bag fitted the bill! I was able to fit: laptop, laptop charger, phone charger, umbrella, bottled water, wallet, sunglass case, pen and makeup bag, as well as the occasional snack and always a bit of wiggle room. I received many compliments while using the bag - both from co-workers and strangers waiting in line for airport security! Cons - it can be a little painful to fasten as the two straps have to fit just right. Work. However, since the main compartment also has a zip, I could quickly zip it up at any time and take care of the buckles later if I was in a hurry. I've also noticed a little wear where the strap hook rubs against the bag, but that's more from three weeks of heavy use. Overall I would recommend it to others.
