I have cats. They have razor-sharp teeth and love Apple cables. Instead of spending $100 on a new adapter for my MacBook Pro every time, I could go to my warehouse, pull out the old adapters, and end up throwing out the $10 adapter. The adapter is a strong magnet that sticks firmly. So it only takes a second to get it in place. I usually keep the power adapter with one of these at the bottom of my backpack and it never comes loose or gets lost. As far as I can tell, it charges my computer just as fast. At $10 it was a great buy.
