I bought this mainly for my son as an iPhone stand. It's great for frame-by-frame images that will be converted to video. With a tripod you can take great photos without shaking. However, it came without instructions. Although it was pretty easy to guess. Its foldable legs are very handy for aiming the camera, although the retractable legs can be handy as they are fairly short. Timed group photos work really well with this tripod, even if you have room to set it up at the right height. I would definitely recommend this tripod to anyone who wants a simple and cheap tripod for everyday use.
