The strap on this product is very short - even the longest! My door frames have moldings around them so I really had to go past the molding but I couldn't. As a result, half of the strap is only connected to half of its sticky pad. Luckily I managed to keep the very strong gold design off the cat food but it looks sloppy. or even detaching and re-engaging will reverse this and force it back to its longest strap length, which is disappointing. Overall it does what I need, but I had to make my own adjustments to the placement to account for how short the strap is and to deal with the inability to adjust the strap. Let's see how it behaves if I have to remove it - I'll let you know if it's lost color!
