I ordered these extra because I was trying to practice braiding my own hair. I absolutely hate those tiny rubber bands because they are very painful to get out of my hair (I have a lot of fine hair and they tangle or resist the rubber). These hair ties are perfect for me as they are tiny and NOT painful because they are made of elastic fabric (I think) and not rubber. I have no issues or pain pulling them out of my hair and they work well for everyday activities.
