I wish I could give this one 100 stars! What a life saver! If anyone has worked with CAT 6 you know how awful some of those other connectors on the market are. I used to buy connectors with tiny inserts to separate the strands. For the rest of my life I couldn't get 100% good connections. I got maybe 1 out of 5. Long story short, I threw everything in the trash. Luckily I found these guys and they talk day and night. I haven't bought any other tools, just this and my small pair of scissors that I've used for years. Now they need a few minutes to get used to it. Don't shorten the pairs at first. Leave about 2 inches, line them all up according to the color code, and plug them into the connector. Once everything is in place, simply slide the connector all the way onto the plastic shell. Carefully and evenly fix the cut strands from the top. The most difficult thing now is to push the plug up a little so that the threads are not visible. You want them all to be flush with the connector. When crimping, simply hold the connector at the back to prevent it from slipping. Ready. It took me an average of 2-3 minutes per connection and completed 4 in less than 15 minutes. 100% success with all 4!
