They are quite thin and the fabric has a stretch. Both qualities are perfect for me on hot, sweaty Florida summer days. They work well as an understated tank top when layered in the colder months. If you wash and rinse them in cold water on a gentle cycle and then air dry them, they won't shrink and will keep their color. The fit is what I expect from any size L men's shirt.
