Review on LG 27GL650F B Ultragear Monitor: 1080p, 144Hz, Adaptive Sync, HDR, Flicker Free by Zhang Fairlburn

It has everything I want from a gaming monitor. Gsync and 144Hz is a godsend for gaming and everything feels very smooth. An IPS panel, 10-bit and high brightness are sufficient. Some people will be concerned about the 1080p resolution on a 27-inch screen, which I'm fine with since my other monitor has the same pixel density. The weird thing is that it's not as sharp as my other monitor, even after changing the sharpness and settings for it (it doesn't hurt, but it's enough to complain about). The only problems I have with it are :1. HDR is kind of a joke, again I didn't buy it for HDR and most general users won't use it because it looks awful on Windows. 2. The height of the monitor at the lowest settings is not low at all. Since my second monitor isn't height adjustable, there's a height difference between the two, which ruins the aesthetics and symmetry. So if you have a dual monitor setup, make sure the second monitor is height adjustable or buy a VESA mount. Or just live with it, as I probably will for now. Overall, this is a great budget monitor, especially if you plan to play games. However, if you have the money or a monstrous GPU like a 2070 Super or higher, go for the 1440p version as it will suit you better. However, for me 1080p is good enough as it allows me to get high frame rates in games. That being said I think the next monitor I buy will be 1440p and I will keep it as a second monitor.
