I bought this for the LG LFX28978SW/01 fridge. This is a part required by LG but not manufactured by LG. It's made in China and has 90 degree curves that aren't sharp but are too smooth. This makes the piece large to fit properly. If you have an old feather, you can use it as a template to modify this fake. You will need a vise and a hammer to form a 90 degree angle the correct distance from the spring. The pin section of each corner section must then be trimmed, otherwise it will be too long to properly assemble the hinged wing section. The spring must be in the center of the cavity in the valve after installation, otherwise the valve will not close fully.
