Review on πŸ“½οΈ Elite Screens Spectrum2 100-inch 16:9 Electric Motorized Drop Down Projector Screen - SPM100H-E12: Review, Price, and Features by Tony Ledbetter

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The picture is of good quality, there is no ripple on the screen, but it is a little crooked.

The picture quality on this screen is excellent and works well with my new Epson Home Cinema 4010 4K projector. In general, it looks pretty bright with no graininess. I particularly like the installation flexibility with the extendable mounts, as the stands in your wall may not be exactly centered on the screen, and I prefer to install in stands rather than drywall for stability. It would be even better if the sliding mounts could be locked, but in general the weight of the screen seems to keep it from sliding. I kept the screen up for about a month and found that there was generally no ripple on the screen, which is a relief as I had ripples on the previous Mustang screen for the first few months. While the waves were generally invisible, they were noticeable in scenes where the camera was panned left and right. So I'm very glad that this screen doesn't have this problem (yet). Keeping the screen flat saves me a ton of money compared to the Petal Voltage series, which costs nearly $1,000 more. than the left side. I made sure this wasn't an installation issue (I checked with a level) but how the screen attaches to the frame itself. I was able to partially compensate for this by adjusting the notes on the suspension screws, but there is still a 1/2 inch skew left. In scenes where there is a border at the top and bottom of the picture, this is not noticeable. This is noticeable in scenes with a full 16:9 aspect ratio.

Pros
  • Pleasant
Cons
  • I vaguely remember

High quality picture, no waves in the screen but slightly lopsided.
