Not sure why they are magnetized
I thought they were magnetized so they would stick to the laptop when in use but they just stick together. I think it's easier to carry them in your pocket or find them in your laptop bag, but I don't care. But they do allow my laptop to sit at a more comfortable angle and allow air to circulate under the laptop, which is what I needed. so i will keep them. They might hold up on some brands of laptops, but not on my MacBook Pro.
