Heavy as others have noted, but mostly comfortable to use. I'm glad the tab that keeps the book or laptop from slipping is detachable. Sometimes it is difficult to print at certain angles. Once removed it fits in a side drawer, which is nice. Why a star? After a few weeks, the wood material held together began to warp and separate, leaving each "piece" of wood slightly curved and raised at the edges. This also created a gap between the profile, which rises at an angle in the closed position, and the fixed right-hand side part. If it keeps separating, it becomes unusable. My friend has the same table, it's over two years old and not buckled. Mine was supposed to be defective, but the return period expired after a month.
