There was no denying that it was cute, but it turned out to be useless to me, so I sent it back. The reason is that I have a basset hound. I adjusted the garment to fit his large barrel-shaped chest, but the sleeves kept popping out as he walked around in it. He could get confused and fall. Poor thing couldn't even walk in that thing. I think it would be ok if your dog had nice long legs, the elastic around the chest would support them. But my dog kept the top but the sleeves got caught on his legs and kept unbuttoning. It was very uncomfortable and we couldn't even wear it on Halloween (I took a picture when we tried it on). I ended up having to buy him another pirate costume. It's really really bad because it's a cute costume, but you need a dog with long enough legs to wear the costume because the elastic around the sleeves is very loose.
