Revainrating 5 out of 5

Deserves 6 stars for quality and parts included. (VERY STRONG IN THE WALL)

*2/2018 Update.TV STILL HANGS SECURELY! I even upgraded to a 50 inch TV. No problem * If I could rate this TV mount 6 stars, I would! I've never had a TV mount before as it seemed like drilling holes in the wall would be a big problem and I never trusted my TV to hang from the mount. I saw this mount for sale at a very low price compared to the $70 best buy for inferior quality so I decided to take the plunge! First of all I want to say that this mounting kit has EVERYTHING YOU NEED in the box, from screws to gaskets! I'm a handy guy, but I was a little intimidated by looking at everything in the box, but I made this mount a weekend project and installed it in LESS than 30 MINUTES (32" TV through 1 1/2 thick drywall). I really had to buy a 1/2 drill bit to get this a clean job. The tools you will need are an electric drill, a stud locator, the right bits to make your holes and I personally used snap bolts as I couldn't drill the thick metal studs my apartment uses. Tips: - If you can't drill through the studs, use snap studs that will hold the TV perfectly through at least an inch of drywall, use at least 4 of these and you'll never have a problem. (New and improved 6-packs are available from Home Depot for $7. Well worth it!) - You can use zip ties to keep the cables looking tidy, or you can drill through the wall to hide them (takes a few minutes ) - I have attached a picture of Hillman Snap Toggle screws if you want to try them. I installed a 32" TV that weighed only 27 pounds and these screws are rated for 80 pounds each. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask me.
