Review on πŸŽ’ Optimized for SEO: Osprey Manta 24 Men's Hiking Hydration Backpack by David Causillas

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Perfect size for 4 season day hikes

I bought this 24L daypack with the intention of carrying 20lbs. or enough water and gear for every emergency he makes. The 2.5 liter hydrator works perfectly as intended. The large zippered back panel provides easy access to gear, which also features a large zippered side panel. There is also a small insulated zipped pocket on top of the large panel, useful for more sensitive gear. I never used the included rain cover, which is locked in a zipped compartment at the bottom of the bag (but it's easy to get quick access to). A 20 or 25 pound pack is quite comfortable with an internal frame that distributes the weight across the hips. I am an elderly hiker (69 years old) with old discs and comfort is very important for long hikes. The only issue is that I also carry around a water bottle with an electrolyte formula for hot days, but since this is a hydration pack the design intention was not to add easy access to the side pockets included in the pack. for a portable bottle, so you need to buy a separate belt or strap bag. I recommend this bag to anyone who wants to pack the right amount of gear to be ready for any day adventure. I would give this bag an overall score of 4.6 for my intentions.

Pros
  • Includes built in rain cover
Cons
  • Not as thick as other options
