Recommended hydration pack item

Purchase price: $160 Purchase date: 01/14/2021 Value: 4/5Quality: 5/5Performance: 5/5Pros: high quality Materials, versatile bag, including water tank, practical. Suggested improvements: The price could have been lower - around $130 in my opinion. Conclusion: Great backpack for a day trip. The backpack is of high quality and the design makes it very practical for hiking. I recommend this product but be aware that you are paying more for the brand name.

Pros
  • Dedicated hydration compartment with BPA-free LT 2.5 hydraulic reservoir and chest strap solenoid
Cons
  • I'll Be Silent

The Osprey Manta 24 carries my winter gear and my three-legged Chihuahua

My first Osprey backpack. Very spacious for day trips. I can store wind and waterproof jackets, a down jacket, shirts of different weights in addition to stuff you put in smaller bags, and a 6 pound chihuahua that can't walk in the snow. The material is very durable. Lots of pockets. My only complaint is that I tend to chew on valves and I've already punctured one. But I'll blame myself for it. I would recommend it.

Excellent backpack for hiking

Have carried this backpack for many miles in Colorado, Utah, Arizona etc. I have a small complaint: the shoulder straps and waist belt should have more loops for attaching carabiners etc. I like to attach the camera to my shoulder strap with a carabiner for easy access. There is also a "neck knife" on the other shoulder strap. Overall very happy with the purchase. It also "breathes" well on the back thanks to the mesh back and durable construction. Would definitely buy again.

Osprey Manta Fits hydration packs

Having ridden many miles with this bag I feel comfortable writing a review. Overall I really like the bag, there are some flaws but for what I need it's the best I've ever used. This is a good lightweight backpack with a frame and I really need a frame because sometimes I carry heavy photo gear with me. A frameless backpack just doesn't hold the weight well for me. The only real downside I found with this bag is that it lacks organizational pockets, I wish it was better organized. It might save

Perfect size for 4 season day hikes

I bought this 24L daypack with the intention of carrying 20lbs. or enough water and gear for every emergency he makes. The 2.5 liter hydrator works perfectly as intended. The large zippered back panel provides easy access to gear, which also features a large zippered side panel. There is also a small insulated zipped pocket on top of the large panel, useful for more sensitive gear. I never used the included rain cover, which is locked in a zipped compartment at the bottom of the bag (but it's…

Pros
  • Includes built in rain cover
Cons
  • Not as thick as other options

Great backpack, new favorite

Got this backpack to replace a 20L backpack from another brand. This is my third Osprey bag (130L, 42L and now 24L) and they don't disappoint. ADVANTAGES: 1. The amount of features this pack has is amazing and new features will be added as I use it. 2nd quality material. I'm not worried about damaging this and if it does, Osprey's warranty is great.3. The size is perfect. It's noticeably larger than the 20-litre I used, but it's still quite compact but packs quite a bit. This is the perfect…

Pros
  • Flat front zip pocket, inner pocket and key clip
Cons
  • unreliable

Good daypack but needs some adjustment

The Manta 24 was purchased as a small daypack for a 10 day Mont Blanc tour in Europe where we took very little. Food and no lodging, cooking or camping gear. It fits my first aid kit, raincoat, fleece, emergency tent, lunch, 2.5 liters of water and other small items but no more, just right for a day pack. This is my second Osprey and I generally like the quality of their packs, but if I were the designer I would make some adjustments. The top compression straps on the back of the pack work, but
