Cool door. Ideal for a kitten. Ease of installation. All of this resulted in a 5 star rating. However, if you want to keep your 65 pound dog out of the litter box (or in the bin, apparently), this is NOT the solution for you. We first had a metal baby gate with a cat door and our dog broke 2 of his fangs which later had to be removed when he tried (and climbed through that door) so we figured the smaller opening door would definitely keep him out. Just to clarify. The girth of my dog chest is much larger than the opening of this cat door, so we decided we were golden. But he couldn't resist the smell of cat poop. As you can see his claw marks from trying to push himself through the door. So, buyers, if your dog has an irresistible passion for munching on kitty litter, I stand my ground and say that nothing will stop him from climbing in and munching it like a delicacy.
