I bought them in the summer knowing that over time they will come in handy. We've had an unseasonably cold week here in the North East, with morning temps below 30, so it's time to shed our long breeches. First, they kept me warm. I haven't even thought about the cold. More importantly, temperatures reached 50 degrees while riding and I never felt overheated or regretted going outside in cold weather pants. Second, I was concerned that long pants would "pull" my legs, but never thought about it. Finally, the filling is sufficient. I rode 20 miles the first cold day and 30 miles the next with no pain. For me, the ability to stay warm (and stay cool when the temps rise) and being almost invisible on my legs and seat makes them extremely comfortable. That's the definition of comfort. The sizing suggestions in the chart seem to be accurate as I think they fit well. For reference, I'm a little over 6 feet tall and weigh 175-180 pounds and bought the XL. I'll probably buy another pair of these.
