Filters and frames are really annoying and difficult for a child to use as they are difficult to put down. I think this camera would be perfect if it was simpler. Can't comment on durability as I returned it shortly after opening it, but it was very reasonably priced and looked more like a plastic fast food toy than a small starter chamber. We ended up with a $39.99 waterproof Polaroid camera that they sell at Walmart. It's only a few dollars more expensive, but better made and easier to use than this one.
