This item is not small, so if you are short on space you might want to consider a size smaller. It has swivel wheels, which is a big plus when you need to hide it behind something and pull it out to use it. The machine is very straight forward, IN, BACK, FORWARD. The day after I received it, I tore up two large pieces of paper. Grocery bags with paper and it didn't overheat. I had probably 10 sheets at a time and he ripped them up with no problem. It slowed things down a bit, but the papers didn't stick. Also, credit cards were very easy to break into small pieces that no one could find. The only uncertainty is the power button.
