Review on Aurora 14-Sheet Crosscut Paper/CD and Credit Card Shredder with 5-Gallon Pullout Basket and 10-Minute Continuous Run Time by Doug Olson

Revainrating 4 out of 5

The quietest paper shredder I've ever seen. Easily eats multiple sheets of paper.

This item is not small, so if you are short on space you might want to consider a size smaller. It has swivel wheels, which is a big plus when you need to hide it behind something and pull it out to use it. The machine is very straight forward, IN, BACK, FORWARD. The day after I received it, I tore up two large pieces of paper. Grocery bags with paper and it didn't overheat. I had probably 10 sheets at a time and he ripped them up with no problem. It slowed things down a bit, but the papers didn't stick. Also, credit cards were very easy to break into small pieces that no one could find. The only uncertainty is the power button. It feels a bit cheap when you move it back and forth. I hope it survives all the grinding. I have searched and researched for a long time to make sure I am not getting lemon and the grinder fits all my needs. There are better shredders out there but for the price this is a GREAT choice. Doing a little shredding around your house will more than meet your needs. FYI, you may have trouble putting a plastic bag in your shopping cart. He always registered fully when it wasn't. It's very easy to drain although I haven't oiled the chopper yet but I have a 16 ounce oil which I understand needs oiling about every month. I probably won't use it more than once a day for a minute or two, so I'm not sure when the first lube will hit.
