Very impressive sound and performance

TL:DR - This mic is a great buy for its purpose and you won't regret it. Full Review: I could get too excited about supercardioid condenser mics. But it also makes me very critical of the ones I've bought over the years. As for the shotgun style, I've never spent that much money ($130) on one, so I was happy to get this product in exchange for a free unit. want to compare it watch the video I'm only saying when I hook up different mics to show how much better this one sounds compared to cheaper models. The build quality is durable aluminum. Knobs are nice and clicky. They also have LED indicators - great for changing settings on the fly. The Gain knob is probably the most innovative feature, and its placement makes sense. You can just put your finger on the microphone when it's on your camera and adjust it properly. assembly functions. The gain control is probably the most innovative feature, and its location is pretty clear. You can just put your finger on the microphone when it's on your camera and set it up properly. I like that the headphone monitor is built into the microphone. So life is easier. The 3.5mm USB-C connector is unique but makes sense on this device. It also has a very reliable connection. sound quality. If you don't watch videos, I'll just tell you that the sound quality is excellent. The low pass filters and gain control work as expected. Compared to cheaper microphones of the same type (of which I own three - yes!) I found my voice to be much clearer, more dynamic and louder. This mic picks up sound in an elite way. I was using a Zoom H4n recorder (professional audio monitor/recorder) to record audio and had to turn the input volume down to half that of the cheaper mics. For recording, this means you can record more sound and have a lower sound threshold (less background noise). Extras: I really liked the cables and accessories that come with the D30. In addition to the necessary cables, the shock-absorbing mount and housing convey the feeling of having bought a real premium product. Bottom line: if you need a condenser mic and want to budget under $1,000 for a recording device, this is a great option you can't go wrong with.
