It appears, from the design, to be the same as one purchased at Staples and costing $70. However it isn’t as sturdy. It is too soon to say if it will hold up well to wear and tear and will the protection be as good if it is dropped. The auto wake up/sleep works. The $70 one is 4 years old and is beginning to show wear. How the Ruban will last is an unknown. I guess you get what you pay for. No way can a $9 item be comparable to a $70 one. Will it suffice, only time will tell.One year later my expensive case bit the dust (it was 4 years old) so I purchased a Ruban as my husband is satisfied with his. I even bought one (lilac mine is black) for a friend. Happy with product. Does the job at a reasonable price.
