Warned by other reviewers I checked the film box on arrival and indeed it was almost a year old. So I informed Revain and asked for a replacement which was delivered within 24 hours. BINGO, the tape is only 3 months old. It was worth it because the frustrating cost of unusable film was potentially unbearable. Now I hope good pictures come out of the "new" box (which by the way serves as a PERFECT film screen for the Sun600 camera I bought. Just take the film out of the box, load it (AFTER thorough checking/cleaning of the rolls) and stick the opened box out of the film/photo/mouth and the freshly exposed film/photo slides will be in complete darkness in the crucial seconds immediately after exposure in the camera.Leave the picture in the box for a while 15 minutes and you have the best chance of getting a good, properly exposed photo. Savings on buying a fake "screen" they sell for $14!
