I bought one a few years ago and it just sat in a drawer. A year ago I started using it as a scarf and I really liked it. This is the perfect scarf for use in places where the nights are cool and the days are warm (Coastal California). My wife liked the look and decided to buy more colors. I was a little put off by the bad reviews so I bought this and another on Etsy for more than double the price. This shemagh has been washed once and has retained its size of 43" x 43" (cold water - do not dry), the fabric will not fray or fray. It's supposed to be a thin cotton fabric, and it's no worse than the one I bought more expensively (albeit a few inches less). This is good gear that looks and works well. I will buy again and recommend to a friend.
