This is exactly what I expected. Very fair price. The material is thin but the fabric looks durable. They are not as soft as a t-shirt. They have more of the consistency of a tablecloth. However, they are very warm and comfortable. They were originally designed to protect against sand, weather and dirt, so you want them to be breathable and not too tight like a t-shirt, or be breathable or dry quickly.
