I had constant problems with the fountain in the yard which had a small water tank and the pumps kept burning out when the water level dropped. After struggling with 3 other pumps I was finally looking for a solution and not just another pump. I installed a large pool under the fountain (just found another use for those pesky plastic containers people buy. 27 gallons was perfect) and one of those pumps. This pump has been working fine for the last month and the water level sensor turned it off one day (there was a raccoon who decided to use the fountain as a bath which caused most of the water to leak out. The pump is now on a timer). to prevent nocturnal bathing). If it was one of the old pumps the water level would drop below the suction level and the pump would burn out. Great pump, worth the money.
