Exactly what I was looking for
This Tsukemono Press (aka Oshinko) is perfect for making small batches of Japanese-style pickles. Cheap enough I bought two. I've used them 6 times now and they seem to be holding up well. I put them in the dishwasher with glasses on the top shelf and had no problems. The plastic is strong. The spring provides the necessary pressure to release water without crushing soft vegetables such as eggplant or cucumber. The lid is screwed tight. Has a fill line so you know how much to add so the spring still has room to compress when the cap is screwed on. Great product for the price. I plan to order more for family members.
