Review on Hynes Eagle Backpack Approved Packing by Jesse Bailey

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I was delighted and satisfied with the quality of this

Our family received four of these backpacks for international travel. You have served us well. Bag size meets international carry-on size requirements (unless overcrowded). Check with your airline about the category of your ticket - although there is a 'standard', the 3 airlines had 3 requirements that were almost the same but not quite the same. It's not a big bag, but we had what we needed (and washed) for a 2+ week trip to Europe! The ability to not wait for your luggage and go straight through customs is a huge time saver! I was pleased and pleased with the quality of it. I would recommend this backpack. Detailed Description and Comments * There is one large pocket that you should put most of your gear in. * Large interior pocket with internal compression straps. A compression strap broke on one of the four packs :-(. The lid of the large inner bag has a mesh backing. This is in addition to the outer compression straps shown in the photo. The small rings that the straps attach to (at the bottom of the bag) stay outside of the pack after the straps are zipped in. I'm afraid they might snag when the bag is checked. These clips are on the inside. The padded straps include a sternum strap. * There are two outside pockets for your belongings (in addition to a belt pouch ) Built-in padding, fluffy fabric and Velcro (R) to fasten the laptop.I used a bag for iPad + keyboard, kindle, travel documents that should be handy and a bag for various things. This bag can vertical height 1-2 " have. This bag seemed big enough to me.* Last outside pocket This is a small bag (sizes 5"x7" to 11"x8"). I used it to carry ver turns a small notebook underneath, this bag will not stretch vertically.* The bag also has external compression straps. This is very helpful for getting an extra inch or two of vertical space if needed. You have worked well for us. Compression straps attach under a large external pocket (which allows you to store a laptop). This means that the contents of the "large outside pocket" do not compress (OK), and also that the zipper on this pocket pulls across the direction of the zipper when it is compressed. I'm concerned that this may cause the flash to fail. There was no lock in the bag, but we bought a TSA "mini-cable" lock. By threading a 'mini cable' through the openings at the end of the zip for the main compartment and 'outer large pocket' these areas can be 'secured'. We didn't buy any packing cubes. Overall quality appears to be good (broken internal strap detected). From my point of view this back is definitely a better quality compared to some of the cheaper but similar bags I've bought but ended up sending back. Every member of my family has used this backpack and been happy with theirs. To be clear, the straps on this bag allow you to lug your backpack around the city/subway - we've walked 1 mile or more with them on our backs. . However, if I was going to be traveling miles of rugged trails, a purpose built backpack would be more appropriate than this backpack style case. Again this is the recommended backpack and our family was happy with it during our trip to Europe.
