Review on 🚗 Airaid Cold Air Intake System for 2007-2014 FORD/LINCOLN: Boost Horsepower, Enhance Filtration - AIR-401-231 by Joseph Hernandez

I bought this AIRAID Air Intake for my Ford F150 5.4L V8 engine. I took off two stars and let me tell you why: The fit and finish on the packaging. "NOT ideal for a filter. This is probably partly due to Ford's design of the lower airbox along with the AIRAID upper airbox, which they designed to create an overpressure on the filter. Aluminum box does not match the plastic Ford One 100% - there were gaps nothing that couldn't be fixed with a little duct tape but even the Airaid Tech Support Line basically said "it is what it is" and reminded me that I can return I feel like this part This item could have been done a little better Works perfectly It opens the engine up a bit, adds some engine rumble under the hood - only increased noise above 2,000 rpm can really be heard Can't tell my ass feels like advertised Some improvements but overall it seems to have been a positive change to my truck Also the washable and oil free filter helps a lot with maintenance I recommend Be sure to check the hose clamps at every oil change as they seem to loosen a bit over time. Nothing drastic - not enough to let air or contaminants through - but just not as tight as I like unless you check them from time to time.
