Flow is proven better than metal storage inlets. Furthermore, the standard intake box is used, which protects against the high temperatures of the IAT. If you want better performance but don't want your engine bay to go bad, these are affordable options compared to high-end intakes.

Very good quality inlet pipe. All connections are very tight, so don't worry about air leaks. The engine compartment looks a lot nicer, and if you press the gas pedal hard, you can hear a slight intake noise. With a tuner I can observe that the intake temperature was always 3-5 above ambient and now I have 1-2 degrees.

I have a 2005 Chevy 1500 5.3. I changed this with my Flowmaster exhaust and the custom HP tuner software I was using. Will definitely hit my truck. Not to mention you get rid of baffles in the factory pipe. Makes the engine sound a lot angrier than before and gives a nice peek under the hood! Good price!

Bought for my 2006 5.3 Silverado. It was very easy to install and the instructions are clear. The Airid whistle is much slimmer and better looking than the bulky standard whistle. At high revs you can hear and feel a slight difference. The truck feels more responsive, but I could imagine that. My 2005 GMC Sierra 1500 5.3L engine runs smoother and quieter - I wasn't expecting that. I installed it with a standard K&N off-road flat-panel air filter. The truck has a cat exhaust and used to be quite noisy at all rpm, growling below 2000 rpm and humming at highway speeds. Now the growl is there, albeit smoother, and the roar is mostly gone, so much more comfortable on the track. The engine idles and runs smoother, installation was very easy and the fit and finish is excellent.

Good functional product. Installation was as easy as can be. But remember, this is a plastic tube. It won't magically give the impression that you have a compressor installed. I put this on a '06 Silverado 4.8L 5 speed. I also installed a K&N filter. Can't say I've noticed an increase in power, but throttle response has improved. Not sure if it's 155.03. It's all about an 18" long hollow plastic tube with a urethane fitting on one end and 4 hose clamps. I installed this on a bone stock 06 Yukon Denali 6.0. I wasn't expecting too much of a performance difference, I just wanted free intake flow. From 2000 rpm the truck becomes quieter. The intake noise at idle is the same, but under load from 2000 rpm the intake is clearly audible. The intake sound is a low pitched sound, enough to draw your attention but never annoying. I had an Airaid 200-919 on my 2005 Silverado 5.3L for 5 months/8400 miles. Just removed it. The quality is top notch. The tube itself, the fittings/clamps and the instructions are all excellent. The set is excellent. Installed with an OEM filter box with Wix paper filter. Noise from air entering the throttle body increases dramatically at 1/2 throttle opening.
