Review on πŸš€ Enhance Your Vehicle's Performance with the Airaid 200-919 M.I.T. Modular Intake Tube. by Dave Hersma

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Not bad/not good for parts

I had an Airaid 200-919 on my 2005 Silverado 5.3L for 5 months/8400 miles. Just removed it. The quality is top notch. The tube itself, the fittings/clamps and the instructions are all excellent. The set is excellent. Installed with an OEM filter box with Wix paper filter. Noise from air entering the throttle body increases dramatically at 1/2 throttle opening. Same for city driving (I'm a real estate agent in PHX), but on the freeway it dropped 1.5-2mpg. When towing uphill, the transmission doesn't downshift through more air/power like it would without the Airaid pipe, and the MPG hasn't changed. The reason I took it off is just the MPG drop off when not towing on road trips. If you're a drag and/or love the power/noise, I recommend this item. I love the noise/power, but the reduction in MPG on no-tow trips is why I'm removing it.
