69 1018TS Performance Intake Kit Review

Sounds fantastic and is relatively easy to install. I used a K&N YouTube video as a tour, just in case. The only issue I have is that the K&N tag is facing down, different from what is shown on the product image. It is in order? MPG not fixed yet as I've only had it for 1 day.

Excellent product. I like the sound and the car pulls a little harder. You can't expect more from Sri on a camera. In truth, the included crankcase manifold is plastic and will likely cut the threads. This is the only reason I can't give 5 stars to the reception. K&N must supply metallic brass.

So far I really like this product, it always makes you want to go faster. Everyone knows that the stock airbox is pretty quiet, and that cool air intake is what makes the CR-Z fun, especially in Sport mode. Combine that with an aftermarket exhaust system and you've got a car that's really fun to drive. Just periodically check for loose parts during installation and adjust accordingly.

Other reviews correctly state that it will take some time to install. Took me about two and a half hours. There are at least three hoses that need to be replaced or removed. The instructions are fairly basic, but they are written with the assumption that you are mechanically inclined. I have no idea why the system comes with a plastic elbow valve that LIGHTLY crosses the threads. I almost cut it twice but had a hard time pasting it. Removing the stock hoses proved to be the trickiest part as…
