Then I tried strips of "3M" tape. Worked for a few hours then just fell off. The tape will not stick to the vinyl door panel as the vinyl has a slight texture. Many new cars/SUVs do this now. Same issue with the GPS/Phone suction cups on the dashboard. Another design flaw with this product is that the Grand Cherokee (and many other cars/SUVs) have a push-pull latching mechanism along the top of the door panel. This product does not take this into account and puts additional stress on the plastic part or the tape. The search for the best product continues. It was a waste of $25.
