This is a good starting light, I am setting up an aquarium with a baby and we need light to get started. It can be adjusted, so take one that fits the length of the aquarium. The light is pleasant, white during the day and dark blue at night. It has a timer so it can be controlled. The whole construction is a bit clunky, but okay for starters. I would switch to something more serious. But it's great if you're on a budget.
