I'm really surprised at how well it picks up dog hair. I have 2 dogs that shed a lot. I looked at many dry sheets that are expensive. I've been using it twice a day since I received it. I have laminate and vinyl floors downstairs. There are transitional bands that he has trouble with about 50 percent of the time. I just look at it and move it if it's stuck. The home theater cables for the rear speakers need to be sealed. He got stuck in them but didn't hurt them. Upper floor is carpeted. Does not recover from finding stairs. He doesn't fall, tries to turn away, but a wheel is sticking out of the carpet and he can't move forward. The stairs are in the attic where my study is, so I go down them when I work upstairs. I have a large fan in my bedroom that I had to lift onto the couch. He climbs the fan base and gets stuck. A couple of times he thought he was standing at the edge of the stairs and turned. Two bedrooms that I just let him do until time runs out. The instructions say 55 minutes. I timed it and it was 55 minutes and 13 seconds. Time to turn off in programming? Because it's going in circles? Mine does that too, but it's part of the program written in it. The manual tells you to look at some kind of wire. If you let go of him, he'll move straight ahead and try to make more circles. I think the manufacturing/engineering department forgot to tell marketing what they are doing. I had no illusions that they set and forgot for such a price. Additional warranty and spare parts. Yes, please. EDIT: He tried to kill himself yesterday. Jumped down the stairs. I was able to turn and watch as he flew down the last few steps and landed on the protective bumper on the laminate floor. I was certain that this was the end of him. He must have been embarrassed because his traffic light turned red. I picked it up and shook it to see if any loose parts fell out. Nothing. They brought it back upstairs and turned it back on. No damage.
