Review on πŸ”Œ Quick Products JQ-3500B: Powerful Electric Tongue Jack - Lifts 3,650 lbs. with Ease (Black) by Brett Robinson

SHOULD HAVE MADE EARLIER!

After reading several good and bad reviews about this jack I reluctantly ordered it, mainly because of the low price and the Revains return policy (the best one if you ask me). The good reviews outweigh the bad, and the most recent ones have all been 4 and 5. This often means the company has finally stepped up and fixed what was wrong and fixed the problem. This should be the case with this nest. Mine came wrapped in styrofoam in a box with no obvious signs of damage. Since the ground wires weren't connected, I decided to test this on a dyno before attempting to install it on my newly purchased RV. Using a set of jumper wires, connect one end (black) to the bare metal of the stand and the other end (red wire) to the power wire. Both the light and the jack motor worked properly when the switches were pressed. For installation. I already had an old jack awaiting the arrival of this one. I've been using a manual/crank jack for 18 years. It still works well, but in my 50's I'm not very good. Also, I have sons who live at home to do all the hard work. Installed the jack in 10 minutes. The leveling bladder at the tip of the jack was slightly offset, so I checked the camper's leveling both ways, and then loosened three screws and moved the jack as close to the center of the bladder as possible. How and which screws you tightened first determines where the bubble ended up. This is for a 35ft bumper trailer so alignment is very important as everything opens/closes and drains. Happy with the accommodation for the second time. Plug a wire back into the positive battery post and connect to the included 30A circuit breaker. The kit does not include a large wire nut or crimp connector to connect two wires together, nor a large spade lug to connect it to the battery. Being both a mechanic and a professional jack of all trades, I was fortunate to have both in my garage so I didn't have to go to the hardware store or auto parts store. The jack is internally grounded and comes with three star washers so you get a good ground when tightening the bolts. Installation is complete and it's time to test the speed and power of the jacks. Press the switch and the socket works. Runs very fast with no load. The weight of the RV slows him down a bit, but he doesn't seem to stiffen at all. My 2006 camper, a 35ft Montana with two slides and by no means lightly loaded. This moved him up and down with little effort. Several reviews say it's slow. Either they've never used them before, or they don't understand the laws of physics when they use gearing, so a smaller cylinder engine can do a lot more work than something seems physically possible for, no more. is. In terms of noise, I mostly made more noise than this jack when I had to turn it up and down by hand several times during the setup process.
