Installation was easy. The instructions called for a base cap that would be welded to the frame of every trailer I know of, like mine, so I looked everywhere for it but found it to be pretty standard. This is essentially the "second" hole that the jack goes through in the tongue frame to hold the jack upright. I didn't have to open the case and connect the yellow ground wire that many other reviewers have warned about. Arriving early, I first had to remove the cover and check that all the cables were connected. The jack is easy to install and works great. THEN in the morning we were going to take our 25ft RV on a 3 week road trip, I hooked it up to my truck, raised the jack and while I was hooking up the stabilizers the jack just collapsed.
